About me!
Welcome to our Home Page, my name is Angela, and I am 30 years old, and happily married with two children. Recently lost our third child due to being born stillborn.
I have decided to do a baby website, and hope that you enjoy it, as much as I have enjoyed making it.

Cot Death Concerns
1. Don't overheat your baby - the temperature of the room should suit a lightly clothed adult.
Give the baby the same amount of bedding as you, plus an extra layer for the first month only.
Feel the baby's stomach to check if the baby is too hot or too cold.
Don't use pillows, and always put the feet at the bottom of the cot, so the baby cannot move down the cot and get caught under the sheets.
2. It is also best to avoid cot bumpers, as the baby could get caught up in them.
3. Always place the baby on his/her back, with her feet touching the foot of the cot.
4. Try to keep your home free of cigarette smoke. Make it a rule that visitors must smoke outside.
5. Always tuck bedding in,leaving baby's head fully exposed and stick with a blanket, not a duvet.

Get Some Sleep Tips!
It is a fact of life that babies cry - it's the only way they know to get your attention. In time you will learn how to deal with your baby's demands. Here are some tips to consider.
Feed him/her if she is crying, you may think it is impossible for him/her to be hungry, but most babies appetites are unpredictable, and in any case, babies find sucking soothing.
Try a soothing tape with womb sounds, or gentle music, or lullabies.
Holding baby against your chest, so that baby can hear your heart beating can also help sooth baby.
Hold your baby upright against your shoulder, whilst patting gently on their back, and rocking slowly.
Singing a lullaby may help settle him/her.
If you have a car, a short drive around the block may help settle baby to sleep. (safely harnessed in a car seat). Or use a sling, or pram for the same effect of soothing baby to sleep.
If the crying is starting to get to you, you can always put baby somewhere safe and go into another room. Have a warm drink, listen to music, watch TV, for 10 minutes until you feel abit better.
